Ragasiya, one of the heartthrobs of south Indian film industry was born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Hailing from a middle class family, her father Pappu is a photographer and her mother Lalitha is a tailor. She has an elder sister Rekha who is married and a younger sister Ruba who aims to become an air hostess. At one stage her family under went a strenuous condition that they were not able to feed themselves even for a meal. This made her to come to a conclusion of entering film industry. It was her father’s friend who assisted her in circulating her photos for her selection. Her launch was through the popular hit song Cheena Thana…. in Vasool Raja M.B.B.S. Her sizzling dance moments took her to dizzy heights and she became a star overnight. She continued with her item numbers in films like February 14, Keerthi Chakra, Paramasivan, Yaaradee Nee Mohini, etc.
